We used smart stencil vinyl and some glass etching cream to transform these basic carafes! And after the big day, they make great water vessels for entertaining, hosting gifts, or flower vases around the home.
Our editor-in-chief and wedding DIY expert Chelsea was commissioned by Cricut UK to make this tutorial reel project. She creates exclusive wedding DIY project tutorials for various media platforms in addition to creating tutorials for Tidewater and Tulle. We had no obligation to share this, but we're obsessed with this easy DIY!
Why use your Cricut machine to make your own wedding table numbers
Using your Cricut machine to make your own wedding table numbers provides a unique opportunity for personal expression and creativity. Your wedding is a reflection of you and your partner's personalities, tastes, and love story. So, why not extend that personal touch to even the smallest details like table numbers? Since you are in full control of the design elements, you can choose the colors, fonts, sizes, and styles that perfectly match your wedding theme, rather than settling for mass-produced pieces that may not entirely align with your wedding day vision. Your table numbers could be straight forward with numbers, favorite destinations, music album titles, pet names, favorite foods, or so much more. We love all of them!
Making your own table numbers is also a bit more economical especially when you can source blanks from thrift stores, your loved ones' homes, and even garage sales. Wedding planning can be an expensive endeavor when you're basically hosting one giant party, and finding areas where you can cut costs without compromising on the quality can make a significant difference to your budget. By utilizing your Cricut machine, you're able to use affordable materials to create something beautiful and memorable.

Tips and Tricks for Using Etch Cream
Reuse your etching cream. If you want the most bang for your buck, scrape the etching cream back into the bottle and keep reusing. There is no shelf life for this chemical cream, and it can be used indefinitely when stored properly.Make sure to carefully read the instructions on your etch cream product, as different brands may have different application methods.
Clean your glass surface before applying the cream as any residue or dirt can affect the etching process.
Remember to work in a well-ventilated area and wear gloves to protect your skin.
Inspired by this look and want a less permanent effect? We also created this alternative wedding water bottle table number tutorial using frosted cling vinyl! No etching cream required and even easier to upcycle after the big day.
