How To Create A New Wedding Gift Registry On Etsy
For couples wanting to get started with their wedding planning experience, creating your own gift registry on Etsy is super easy. Visit Etsy.com/Registry and click the 'Create a wedding registry' button. If you know your wedding date, you can input it or you can move forward without a set date and add your wedding date at a later time. Your registry stays private until you choose to publish it, so you have a lot of flexibility to change and arrange your registry as you'd like.
To start adding gifts to your wedding registry, find an item on Etsy you love, click the heart icon on the product image to 'Favorite' it, and then 'Add to collection or registry' to place it on your registry. That's it!
How to Edit Your Etsy Gift Registry
To manage or edit your registry, go to Etsy.com/registry/manage or alternatively, you can find a link to your Etsy Registry by clicking on your profile photo. Once you're on your personal registry dashboard, you can add your partner's name, change your wedding date, select your preferred delivery address, and choose who you want to allow access to your registry.
How To Personalize Your Wedding Gifts
Added some made-to-order items to your Etsy registry? You can also pre-customize your preferences so your guests know exactly how you want your personalized item to arrive! Click on the 'Add customization' button on each registry item to select your color, wording, or other choices the shop has enabled. It's literally that simple!

When you're ready, you can select to have your registry available publicly or to only those who have the direct link. Choose your preference and share away! Etsy will email you confirmation that your registry is ready to share and give you Share options from there. Q: Can I have more than one Etsy registry at a time?
A: No, but we found you can delete any current registry and create new ones on the website.
Q: Is there a limit to how many items I can add to the Etsy registry?
A: Thank goodness, no! But we recommend not having too little nor too many as it can be overwhelming for your guests and/or may come across as your not being intentional with your registry. For a wedding with 100 guests, we recommend adding at least 200 items at all price points collectively on all of your gift registries. Having multiple gifting options beyond an online registry is important (e.g., honeymoon experiences, cash, local brick-and-mortar store, etc).
