Materials for making easy colorful wood place card holders for a wedding or bridal shower

INSTRUCTIONS
1. Set out all of your materials and lay down parchment paper or aluminum foil to protect your surfaces.

2. If your wooden place card holders have not been pre-sanded, give them a little sandpaper treatment to allow the color stain to best stain the wood. (Ours from Timber Rebirth were already prepped and ready for us!)

3. Lightly shake your color stain bottles well and pour a small amount at a time into your plastic container. You will want to paint in smooth strokes. The beauty about wood stain is that the natural grain of the wood comes through. If you would like a darker opacity, allow each layer to dry before additional layers. Using a cloth rag, wipe away excess color stain for an even dry.

PAINTING & CLEAN-UP TIPS:
This particular color stain formula by DecoArt is self-sealing, non-toxic, and water-based, so you don't need to do anything else once you have stained your place card holders! After you have finished your project, wash your sponge brush with soap and water for future use.

4. Once dry, place your paper place cards in the slots and set at your table!
