Can I make wedding invitations with a Cricut machine?
This is one of the top questions we get, and yes, you sure can! Creating your wedding invitations using a Cricut machine is a simple yet creative way to add a personal touch to your special day. Firstly, decide what type of material you want your invites. Are you doing Cricut's Print and Cut feature? Or using paper with ink pen, acrylic, paper, wood veneer, paper with vinyl or gold foil details, and so forth? Choose the design that you would like to use, which can be done either by downloading templates from Cricut's website or by creating your own design using the Cricut Design Space software. Next, load your desired paper or cardstock onto the appropriate Cricut cutting mat, ensuring that it is secure. Set up your Cricut machine with the appropriate blade and select the design that you have chosen to cut. Once the cutting is complete, carefully remove your project from the cutting mat and then assemble your invitations as you wish. Add any additional embellishments such as ribbon or DIY wax seals to complete the look. Creating your wedding invitations using a Cricut machine may not only save you money, but it will also add a unique and personal touch to your special day!

Craft beer aficionados can pop the question with a fabulous message on a mug! If you're looking for unique ways to propose to your partner, electronic cutting machines changed the game making anything possible (including a past velvet proposal banner DIY we made!).

For the ultimate summer bachelorette party with your pals, fancy up a gorgeous special occasion waist bag that makes concerts, beaches, and other get-together moments just a little bit extra. You can grab these exact fanny packs on Amazon Prime for quick crafting! Iron-on material is so much fun to play with when it comes to personalizing things, especially when it's shiny gold foil. Upgrade your modern wedding stationery with a bit of angled textured vinyl. Work with small, less complicated designs so you don't have a vinyl mess when applying it to the cardstock.

Wedding Ceremony Memorial Chair Decor
• see our DIY tutorial •MATERIALS USED WITH CRICUT: Cardstock
For the scrapbookers and card makers, paper is already your art, so consider bringing that talent into the wedding! Not all loved ones can be there in person on the wedding day, so creating memorial decor handmade with love can be one of the most special tributes. Neutral-colored cardstock makes for sturdy timeless 2D and 3D designs when framing your loved one's photo. If you're new to Cricut, you'll need to use the LightGrip cutting mat for paper crafts.

Tote Bag for Getting Ready
• see the wedding •MATERIALS USED WITH CRICUT: Everyday Iron-On
Getting ready bags are really popular with brides and their wedding parties. We see a lot of cotton canvas bags, so we especially loved this bridal bag made of jute/burlap for a unique look! Because they're more heavy duty, anyone can upcycle these into market bags after the wedding day! Like the fanny packs above, we recommend using the Cricut EasyPress with this project because it evenly distributes the heat on the burlap material.

Agate Stone Sweetheart Table Number
MATERIALS USED WITH CRICUT: Permanent Vinyl
We have a love affair with agate wedding details. Well, any naturally-made material, really! Take agate crystal bookends and transform them into a special table number for your sweetheart table. It's not usually cost effective for all reception tables, so just using them for you and your partner's table gives a unique and made-for-you look! We recommend permanent vinyl and StrongGrip transfer tape because of the slick polished surface.

Flower Girl Wedding Denim Jacket
• see our DIY tutorial •MATERIALS USED WITH CRICUT: Patterned Iron-On, Everyday Iron-On
Jean jackets are super trendy right now for the relaxed wedding vibe. There are gorgeous denim bridal jacket options on Etsy for brides, but don't forget the little ladies in your crew! We found our jean jacket at a local thrift store and upcycled it into a cute accessory for the flower girl! Since we published the tutorial in 2018, Cricut has come out with a SportFlex iron-on material. While the normal iron-on works great on jean jackets, the SportFlex has a bit more stretch which can be good for ironing over thick denim seams.

Wood is another favorite material to work with when it comes to wedding DIY projects, but we definitely love how easy it is for table numbers! You can actually use iron-on OR vinyl when it comes to this simple project. Whatever you have on hand works! Pre-stained wood blocks can be purchased on Etsy in your choice of color. We especially love any wood stain color that helps make the white table number pop!

Acrylic Menu Sign
• see the inspiration •MATERIALS USED WITH CRICUT: Vinyl
Just like the acrylic place cards shown above, you can transform a larger piece of acrylic into wedding-related signage for gorgeous modern decor. A menu display sign can be a photo statement in of itself and be a bit more eco-friendly by eliminating individual paper menus! Most home improvement chain stores have acrylic sheets you can buy, or if you want to support smaller businesses, you will easily find that Etsy shops can customize the size and shape of a blank plexiglass acrylic sign for you.
