To highlight the Richmond art flair, Erik and Melissa brought in a caricature artist to draw their guests' portraits as part of the reception entertainment as well as gave miniature canvas magnets painted with various floral themes as a uniquely handmade wedding favor. Hand-lettered acrylic wedding signage and table numbers alongside a vibrantly ombré floral head table centerpiece in shades of red, pink, and purple complemented the venue's minimalistic neutral space.
We just love Melissa and Erik's story because it starts with one human in need and another one ready to help. Since they worked together in the same office, when Melissa asked around for moving assistance, Erik immediately offered up his truck. He knew it would be the beginning of something, and they both were in agreement soon after.
The city of Richmond is central to their story, so they celebrated the unique elements of the Virginia capital by highlighting its architecture, the skyline, and their own stylish tastes. From colorful smoke bombs to museum exhibitions to single stem bouquets, we are officially in love with this brand new Richmond wedding venue and this couple's personalized wedding vision for a truly memorable contemporary celebration.
