Traditional Ballroom Wedding with Total Bridal Crown Goals

This is the story of two middle school friends turned high school sweethearts whose romance was sparked when they attended prom together. Years passed and when Evan proposed to Leila after a sweet boat ride from Alexandria to Mount Vernon, their "en route to marriage" tale had only just begun. Together with Stag & Lily Event Co., they planned a classic winter wedding at The John Marshall Ballrooms in the heart of downtown Richmond. With a vision of giant chandeliers and ballroom timelessness, it was the perfect setting for the start to their forever fairy tale.

Photographed by David Abel Weddings, personal and luxurious details gave Leila and Evan's wedding day an evening to remember for themselves and their loved ones. The bride not only wore a stunning gold leaf wedding crown that has us with serious headpiece envy, but her bouquet was a mixture of roses and lilies as a sweet homage to her mother and grandmother's first names (you guessed it, Rose and Lily!). The couple chose a custom monogram crest that was featured on everything from their invitations to their place cards to tie their traditional design together. Romance was twinkling all throughout their Greek Orthodox ceremony and danced into their reception with elegance. If this isn't the epitome of happily ever after from childhood pals to newlyweds, then we don't know what is!
