One of our favorite details that you can't tell from the lovely images captured by Of Fate and Chaos is that as part of the ceremony, the mothers of the bride and groom placed a wedding quilt over the couple to invite guests to shout out all the many things that they wished for the couple. Some exclaimed lots of love, children (to much laughter), and a life full adventure. And because of their way with words, Ingrid and Hamilton both spoke of their union as more of a rebirth -- shedding the old skin that they have carried and coming together as one. It made it so befitting that they would take their wedding quilt and use it as a unique guest book for their loved ones to share their own written messages!
As if you couldn't tell already, there was everything joy in every nook and cranny of this Virginia barn wedding planned by Marylee Marmer Events, and we are just a simple heart mushy mess after hearing their story and seeing their happy memories. So to contribute to their love of poetry, we can't help but share one of our personal favorites when we saw the way Hamilton and Ingrid look at each other. Swoon!
Take a lover who looks at you like you are maybe magic.
