Vintage Backyard Wedding By The Water

In her grandfather's backyard overlooking the water and First Landing State Park in Virginia Beach, Rachel and Mark said their I Do's in sweet relaxed vintage wedding style. The deep plum bridesmaids dresses perfectly offset the lush greenery of the surrounding area and the bright pops of color in each amazing bouquet. Sunkissed Events and Jessica Ryan Photography made sure that no detail went unnoticed as the lovebirds celebrated.

From the vintage styled seating area, to the duck cross stitch honoring her grandfather's well-known carved decoys, to Rachel's locket that she wrapped around her wrist with photographs of loved ones inside, each personal touch paid homage to the couple's heritage. With Mark's love of the water, seafood, of course, was the main course, and it was all presented in a boat (put together by the groom himself!) filled with oysters and duck decoys! You can't get much better than that for a wedding day!
