I have always wanted to do a vow renewal in real life even before I got married. I think it's important to relive those moments that you once shared before. It takes you back to when it was just the two of you holding hands with no cares in the world. And that's what I love about Chris! He brings out the carefree side in me, but most of all, our love story is my favorite.
We both had a pretty rough year in 2008. Chris' grandma (who was his best friend) and my aunt who was mine died 3 days apart from one another from the same type of rare cancer. In 2009, we just so happened to both be in the wedding party of a mutual friend when we noticed each other. I told him he looked familiar and me the same to him. We couldn't figure it out until one day when I was working at a physical therapy office. I randomly walked in on what wasn't my shift at the time, and he was getting therapy. From then on out, Chris started coming in when I was working.
Both of us agreed that we felt my aunt and his grandmother brought us together. After dating for a year, we realized he knew my aunt. She worked as a lunch lady in Kellam High School, and that's where he had went. She would always tell us that there was this boy she just loved that she always gave him extra ice cream. Many years later, we figured out that boy was him! And then the rest was destiny.
