It was a touch bittersweet though as Chris' grandfather had passed away that week, but the thing that kept them smiling in their grief was knowing he was still with them there in spirit. Because before Chris practiced his vows that "100% chance of rain" wedding day morning, he got down on his knees and asked his grandfather for help. He needed him to clear the skies and give them sunshine for their 200+ friends and family joining them later that day. And as they all knew deep in their hearts Grandpa was with them, it was made even more certain when not just fifteen minutes later, the sun broke the clouds and transformed the wedding day into one of the most beautiful fall celebrations they had ever seen in the Outer Banks.
Captured by Red Cardinal Studio and coordinated by Coastyle Weddings & Events, this relaxed and beautifully styled woodland wedding was everything that these two lovebirds envisioned. The feeling at home was important to them, and that's just what they got as they dined and danced under bistro lights and starlight.
