Quirky and Fun Wes Anderson Themed Wedding

Film director and screenwriter Wes Anderson was the unconventional inspiration that characterized Stefanie and Jonathan's wedding at the Woman's Club of Portsmouth. Known for his distinctive visual and narrative style in films such as Rushmore, The Royal Tenenbaums, and the Grand Budapest Hotel (just to name a few!), the couple's choice of bold yellow and light blue was a reference to the fun color palettes the director loves to use in his films.

Captured by Blush Wood Studios, guests, donning vintage fashions nodding back to late 1970's aesthetic, posed in front of handmade photo booth walls set to depict various Anderson movie scenes (one even with the iconic "Boy with Apple" painting from Grand Budapest Hotel!). The wedding party stoically posed for portraits as a nod to much of his directorial themes of comedic seriousness. Let's just say this is the ultimate when it comes to Wes Anderson meets wedding world!

From the vast array of symbolic props, such as framed movie quotes on the tables, to antique keys, to personalized "Zissou Society" cuff links given to the groom, to playful billy ball flowers in bouquets, everything for these two lovebirds' special day gave life to this perfectly quirky chic wedding and pays ultimate homage to one of the greatest American directors of our time.
