To add her modern touch to the wedding, Jenna focused on using lighting to her advantage. Captured by Ash Carr Photography and coordinated by Glint Events, chandeliers, bistro lights, and candlelight sparkled against her signature gold accents and made the reception glow in all sorts of cozy magic. Jenna's mother designed much of the décor, as well as their "guest book" of pre-addressed and stamped postcards (which the couple continues to still receive in the mail)! Between a lakeside first look, spiked apple cider, and a late night donut treat, Jenna and Brian's wedding at the Adams International School just outside of Richmond was nothing short of sweet!
Through the planning process, Jenna and Brian picked up a few tips along the way that they wanted to share with other couples planning their wedding. "Hire a wedding planner!" Jenna recommended, "You should be enjoying your engagement rather than letting planning consume your life!" In addition, they encourage couples to ask photographers to capture a lot of people shots, rather than just details. "You'll want to relive people's expressions and dance moves, not just see pictures of shoes in forty years," Brian said.
