Newport News Baseball-Themed Wedding

While getting to know each other, one of Tai-marie and Travis' favorite activities was going to local baseball games. Their mutual love for sports, especially baseball, made it easy to decide on a theme and location for their wedding and wedding reception. With the help of family and friends, this home-runnin' bride and groom celebrated their special day in Hampton at New Covenant Church for the ceremony and in Newport News at the Kiln Creek Golf Club for the reception.

In planning for the wedding, Tai-marie reminisced on a special element at their reception:

We each have our own favorite baseball team! This came into play when we were naming the reception tables. Since I'm a San Francisco Giants fan, my family sat at the table named AT&T Park, and Travis' family sat at the table named Camden Yards since he is a Baltimore Orioles fan. It was fun trying to sit people at their favorite team's table!

With a first trip to a local baseball field as husband and wife, baseballs and bats galore with their wedding party, and even a Baltimore Orioles groom's cake in the shape of a home plate, this sweet handmade baseball-themed wedding was perfectly pitched!
