When I casually threw around the idea of a launch party back in July, I was secretly hoping I would be told, "Oh, no, Chelsea, you don't have to do one of those!" Contrary to this outspoken written format on here, I am like most creatives: a bit of an introvert, far more confident in the written word, and basically mentally allergic to any spotlight (see that circle image with yours truly peeking out on the right? Oh yes, it has taken the full seven months of building this thing just to be "okay" with it!). But Missy popped that safety bubble right away. And I'm glad she did.
We can't grow without being uncomfortable sometimes, and we can't experience being blessed without taking a risk and inching into that unnerving bright light.
A few weeks ago at The Attic at Waterman's, we invited all of our very, very early supporters, those who believed in Tidewater and Tulle when it was just an inkling of an idea, who supported us through social media, and brought their input and love to build this new online community platform. With a passion for weddings through their craft and heart, they are the foundation for such a successful launch week. So essentially, this post is for you, friends.
Thank you for being here with us in helping carve out an online voice for Hampton Roads weddings! Brides, grooms, and vendors, we have a lot of really great things in store for 2014, not just on this blog, but in person, too. Can't wait to share with you some of those plans on next Friday's recap!
